Iran’s non-oil exports to Africa hit $1.2b in 2 years
TEHRAN - Iran exported $1.2 billion worth of non-oil products to the African countries during the first two years of late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s term, an official said.
According to Ruhollah Latifi, the spokesman for the trade promotion commission of Iran’s House of Industry, Mine and Trade, the total value of non-oil trade with Africa reached $54.4 billion in the mentioned two years.
President Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash on May 19, adopted the policy of establishing relations with African countries based on mutual respect and shared benefits.
After taking office in August 2021, the late president adopted a new foreign policy oriented towards neighbors, Muslim states, Asian countries and the members of the Non-Aligned Movement.
