Hezbollah chief condemns Israeli “savage” attack in Rafah
TEHRAN- Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said late on Tuesday that Israel’s airstrike against displaced Palestinians in Rafah has turned the spotlight on the extreme brutality of Zionists (the Israeli regime).
Israeli warplanes fired eight missiles toward a tent camp in the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood in western Rafah where thousands of Palestinians were taking shelter.
Footage on social media showed flames sweeping through the camp as screaming people fled for safety. Videos also showed disturbing images including severely burned corpses and a man holding what appears to be the headless body of a little kid.
By Tuesday evening, it was reported that at least 46 people had been killed. Most of the victims are women and children.
Israeli officials had designated the makeshift camp a safe zone.
The Hezbollah chief said Israel had ordered Palestinians to evacuate to the so-called safe zone, but it “savagely” bombed them.
“This crime (the bombing in Rafah) and the blood of Palestinians will lead to the collapse of the Zionist regime,” Nasrallah predicted.
