TEHRAN – The acting Foreign Minister of Iran has lauded the effective coordination between battlefield operations and diplomatic efforts under late President Raisi's administration, citing it as a hallmark of success, particularly evident in operations like True Promise.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a solemn funeral ceremony for the late president and his martyred companions, Ali Bagheri Kani emphasized the critical role of managerial competence, asserting that any senior manager, regardless of rank, aspiring to serve the nation must demonstrate a level of leadership proficiency akin to President Raisi's.

Underscoring the significance of Iran's neighborhood policy, the acting Foreign Minister reiterated its strategic importance for regional stability, security, and the facilitation of economic cooperation and comprehensive interactions. He expressed gratitude that regional leaders and officials share this understanding, emphasizing its role as a strategic asset in fostering stability throughout the region.

Responding to queries about future diplomatic engagements with Arab nations like Jordan, Bahrain, and Egypt, the Minister acknowledged the ongoing progress in Iran's relationships with Islamic countries. Despite some relations not meeting desired levels, efforts are underway on both sides to bolster ties within established frameworks and agreed-upon mechanisms.

Addressing concerns regarding the continuity of coordination between military operations and diplomatic initiatives, the acting Foreign Minister emphasized the inseparable nature of battlefield strategy and diplomatic efforts. He cautioned against the pitfalls of either aspect operating in isolation, stressing the need for a comprehensive approach in foreign policy decision-making.

Highlighting President Raisi's adept leadership, Bagheri Kani commended the seamless integration of military and diplomatic endeavors during his tenure, evident in significant operations like Operation True Promise. This unity of vision and strategic coordination, guided by President Raisi's astute management, underscored the government's diplomatic achievements over the past two and a half years.

The helicopter carrying Raisi and his entourage crashed around afternoon on Sunday as it was on its way to Tabriz, the capital of East Azerbaijan, from a location on the border with the Republic of Azerbaijan where the Iranian president had opened a major dam project.

Rescuers found the wreckage of the helicopter early on Monday after hours of extensive search which involved more than 70 teams.

Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and two senior provincial officials along with crew members and bodyguards also died as a result of the crash.

Vice-President Mohammad Mokhber has been appointed to assume interim duties after the death of the president.
