The Chinese people offer condolences over President Raisi’s death

BEIJING – At the request of the Chinese public the Iranian embassy in Beijing held a memorial ceremony on Friday for President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian, and their companions.

The participants paid respect to these officials who were martyred on Sunday afternoon after their helicopter crashed in northwest Iran. They also wrote sentences in commemoration of the martyrs.

The ceremony was held in the embassy upon request by people from across China.

The public opinion in China, media outlets and social media have been affected by the tragic death of the Iranian president and foreign minister. The Chinese government and people have expressed condolences to the Iranian government and nation over the incident.
