Raisi was very courageous in confronting arrogance, hypocrisy: Nasrallah

TEHRAN- In a televised speech on Friday, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement, lauded the late President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, for his unwavering bravery in confronting arrogance and hypocrisy. 

Nasrallah described Raisi as a "courageous man" who tirelessly worked to serve the people of Iran and counter the severe sanctions imposed on the country.

He highlighted martyr Raisi's significant accomplishments in bolstering Iran's economy, noting that his administration took effective measures in the housing sector, increased oil production, and successfully reclaimed Tehran's blocked assets. 

He also emphasized that under Raisi's leadership, Iran joined prominent international organizations such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS.

Expressing his condolences over the martyrdom of Late President Raisi and his associates, Nasrallah remarked, "The martyrdom of loyal and honorable Iranian officials is deeply saddening and painful." He further described Raisi's martyrdom as "a great loss for the resistance front."

Nasrallah urged the youth to look up to martyrs as role models, asserting that the late President Raisi could serve as an exemplary figure for future generations. 

He praised President Raisi's dedication and service to Iran since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, particularly highlighting his reforms in the judiciary system during his tenure as the head of the judiciary.

Nasrallah also mentioned President Raisi's allegiance to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, viewing himself as a devoted soldier in service to the Leader. 

Additionally, he praised Iran's diplomatic achievements under Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian, noting that the country's foreign policy under President Raisi's administration was characterized by a strategic shift towards the East.

In conclusion, Nasrallah's remarks underscored the profound impact of Martyr Raisi's leadership and the enduring legacy he has left behind, urging continued recognition and emulation of his contributions and sacrifices.
