India’s VP visits Iran to pay condolences to Late President, FM at funeral

TEHRAN – Jagdeep Dhankhar, the Vice President of India, has arrived in Tehran, on top of a delegation, to offer condolences on the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and their companions.

Upon his arrival, Dhankhar paid tribute to the martyrs Raisi and Amir Abdollahian, expressing his wishes for the continued pride and prosperity of the Iranian nation. His visit signifies the strengthening of diplomatic ties and cooperation between India and Iran.

President Raisi and Minister Amir Abdollahian lost their lives during a helicopter crash in northwestern Iran on Sunday, which happened due to severe weather conditions.
