Lebanese parliament speaker heads delegation to Iran to attend Raisi's funeral

TEHRAN - Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, has arrived in Tehran accompanied by a delegation to participate in the commemoration ceremony dedicated to the martyred president and the martyrs of service.

His presence underscores the strong ties between Lebanon and Iran.

Berri’s delegation comprises Caretaker Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib, Vice Head of the Supreme Islamic Shia Council Sheikh Ali Khatib, Member of Amal Movement Presidency Committee Khalil Hamdan, Berri's media advisor Ali Hamdan, and Head of the Parliament’s Media Department Ali Diab.

President Raisi and Minister Amir Abdollahian lost their lives during a helicopter crash in northwestern Iran on Sunday, which happened due to severe weather conditions.
