TEHRAN – Sameh Shoukry, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, has arrived in Tehran to attend the commemoration ceremony honoring the late Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, and The Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.

This visit is significant as it marks the first time an Egyptian Foreign Minister has traveled to Tehran since the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution in 1979, highlighting a potential shift in diplomatic relations between Egypt and Iran.

President Raisi and Minister Amir Abdollahian lost their lives during a helicopter crash in northwestern Iran on Sunday, which happened due to severe weather conditions.
