EHRAN - Igor Levitin, an aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin, has said that the Russian government is closely following news related to the Iranian President’s helicopter incident at the highest levels.
President Putin has been closely following news related to the Iranian president’s helicopter incident right from the start, Levitin said in a phone conversation with Iran’s First Vice President, Mohammed Mokhber.
He also said that Russia is ready to use all its capacities to help Iran. The Russian aide also said that upon orders from President Putin, Russia dispatched two advanced airplanes equipped with special helicopters and 50 mountain rescuers to Tabriz.
Mokhber thanked Russia for its support. “We hope to receive good news for the people of Iran and our friends in the world,” the senior Iranian official noted, according to Iranian media.
