TEHRAN- The chief commander of the Iranian Army likened the Gaza war to "Netanyahu's lifeline," saying that the cessation of hostilities would lead to the downfall of the Israeli government.

Speaking at a conference on Monday, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi highlighted the withdrawal of the Zionist regime from parts of Gaza, indicating that this move was part of Zionists' strategic maneuvers, as they have now resorted to bombing.

Asserting that Netanyahu's political survival hinges on the continuation of the Gaza conflict, the Army Chief emphasized that if the war were to cease, Netanyahu's government would likely collapse. "Netanyahu has waged a six-month battle with full support from the United States but has failed to achieve his objectives. He was expected to secure the release of prisoners and dismantle Hamas, yet he has fallen short," noted Major General Mousavi.

Additionally, Major General Mousavi extolled the characteristics and exceptional personality of Martyr Sayyad Shirazi, suggesting that discussions about individuals like Martyr Sayyad Shirazi should be included in textbooks and educational curricula as exemplars for nurturing future generations.

General Ali Sayyad Shirazi was assassinated by a terrorist associated with the Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) in Tehran on April 10, 1999.
