Yemen’s Ansarullah hails Iran’s support for Gaza
The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement has commended Iran’s support for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in the wake of Israel’s genocidal war on the besieged territory.
In a Thursday speech, Abdul Malik al-Houthi said Iran is the only country among Islamic countries that has provided weapons to Palestinian fighters in Gaza.
He accused some Arab states of attempting to criminalize the Palestinian resistance and hampering efforts to help resistance fighters in Gaza. He said these Arab countries also arrest people who support resistance fighters.
“The shameful position and continued neglect of most Arab and Islamic regimes regarding the tragedy of the Palestinian people will bring about consequences,” Al-Houthi added
He said Muslims have a religious responsibility towards the Palestinian people and towards the sanctities in Palestine, most notably the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Ansarullah leader also touched upon Yemen’s attacks against Israeli-linked ships, saying the Yemeni armed forces will continue their retaliatory operations against Israeli-linked commercial vessels, preventing the passage of the ships even through the Indian Ocean and through the Cape of Good Hope.
Yemeni forces have repeatedly launched drones and missiles against Israeli and Israel-bound ships since mid-November, saying they are acting in solidarity with Palestinians against Israel's war on Gaza.
Al-Houthi said the operations will continue as long as the aggression and siege on Gaza persist.
The United States and Britain began striking Yemen in January in order to dissuade the country from targeting the ships that carry arms and logistics for the onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip.
Al-Houthi said the Americans and the British have received “painful blows” from the Yemeni armed forces in retaliation.
