Museum of Iranian entrepreneurs inaugurated in Tehran
TEHRAN – On Sunday, a museum dedicated to Iranian entrepreneurs was inaugurated within the vast premises of Tehran’s Qasr Garden Museum.
It was the initiative phase of the National Museum of Great Iranian Entrepreneurs, which was inaugurated in the presence of several prominent entrepreneurs, one of the museum curators told Tehran Times on Monday.
In a notable step with the intention of appreciating respected tycoons’ efforts, 11 busts itemized of great Iranian entrepreneurs were unveiled at the opening ceremony.
Among the installed busts were those of Ali-Asghar Keyhani, the founder of Iran’s Modern concrete industry, Sultan-Hossein Fattahi, the founder of Emersun Company, Mehrdad Yousefi, the founder of SuperPipe International, Parviz Kalbasi, the founder of Simaran Industrial Group, Mohammad-Mahdi Kamkar, the founder of Atragin, and Hormoz Pakdaman, the founder of Naderi Food Industries Group.
Others were those concerning Peyman Kiyanian, the founder of Nafis Holding, Davoud Abedi-Amoli, the founder of Taje and the father of the Iranian detergent and cleaning industry, Ahmad Fathollahi, the founder of Sabzi Iran Company, Ali Naghib, and the CEO of Dr. Abidi Pharmaceuticals Company and Mohammad-Reza Ganji, the founder of Razi Group.
The museum is scheduled to unveil several other busts in May.
The park and museum occupys two former prisons, one for criminals and one for political prisoners, and the grounds surrounding them.
Qasr means 'castle' and during the 19th century there was a royal palace here, but it eventually ran to ruin. In the early 20th century, a prison, designed to meet international standards by the Russian architect Nikolai Markov, was constructed, and it's this building that forms the first part of the museum.
