Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan warns against foreign involvement in Caucasus issues

TEHRAN - In a recent diplomatic development, the Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan has emphasized the need to stop other countries from meddling in the regional issues.

Emphasizing the regional ramifications, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi highlighted the pressing challenges faced by countries in the region, specifically addressing the formidable impact of the West's goals and ambitions.

Mousavi, stationed in Baku, took to his X account to assert the direct connection of Caucasus issues to the nations in the region. 

He underscored the need to collaboratively resolve issues within the region, deeming any external involvement unfavorable for the regional countries.

He outlined Iran's strong support for the 3+3 Forum, a collaborative effort aimed at ensuring stability and security in the Caucasus, while vehemently rejecting any external interference. 

The Iranian diplomat's message underscored the gravity of the situation, drawing parallels with other fundamental matters where the region faces a serious challenge concerning the West's objectives and ambitions. 

Iran has actively cultivated positive relations with both the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia. Emphasizing its readiness to address the disputes and challenges faced by these two nations. Iran has consistently advocated for resolving of issues within the region. The promotion of sustainable peace in the region, as Iran has repeatedly underscored, is achievable only through dialogue and diplomacy.
