Private sector ready to help govt. develop law on improving investment
TEHRAN – The head of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) has said the private sector is ready to cooperate with the government in developing laws on investment and production improvement, the ICCIMA portal reported.
“The private sector is ready to cooperate and help the government to prepare and formulate the law to improve investment and strengthen competitive production in order to increase the share of the private sector in the economy,” Samad Hassanzadeh said in a meeting of the ICCIMA board of directors on Sunday.
Pointing to the Leader of the Islamic revolution's emphasis on improving the business environment and his advice to the government to give space to the real private sector, Hassanzadeh said: “The perception of economic operators about the business environment also shows that the institutions in charge should do more to remove obstacles.”
He said the information obtained from the monitoring of the business environment indicates that business conditions in the country are not favorable.
The official called on the Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade to defend the ICCIMA decisions that seek stability and help to improve the business environment at the government level.
