TEHRAN - Commander of the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi Fard has urged the enemies to refrain from concocting imaginary scenarios and futile schemes concerning Iran, emphasizing the need to avoid any form of intervention, mischief, and the creation of discord.

During a visit to defensive units in the western part of the country, Sabahi Fard emphasized Iran's utilization of all capacities and platforms, particularly the expertise of elite individuals and the younger generation.

He noted that the Army's Air Defense has made significant progress in defense sciences by leveraging indigenous knowledge and reverse engineering.

Acknowledging the importance of the armed forces and the modernization of the air defense system, General Sabahi Fard highlighted the country's security being closely tied to capabilities in missiles, radar, and drones.

In another part of his remarks, he portrayed active participation in the upcoming elections as a symbol of legitimacy, acceptance, and increased effectiveness of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the international stage. Emphasizing potential threats, he stated that enemies would spare no effort to strike at the Islamic system and Iranians. However, he expressed confidence that the vigilant Iranian nation, with increased presence and thoughtful choices, would once again thwart enemy conspiracies.

Iranians will go to the ballots on March 1 to decide who they want to occupy the seats of the Parliament. The Iranian Parliament, known as the Islamic Consultative Assembly or Majlis, plays a central role in the governance structure, responsible for passing laws, approving budgets, and overseeing government policies.

In order to secure a position as a lawmaker for a four-year term, a victorious candidate is required to obtain a minimum of 20 percent of the votes cast within their respective constituency.
