Iran's ambassador to Brunei meets with FM

TEHRAN- Iran's newly appointed ambassador to Brunei initiated discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian ahead of his diplomatic assignment in Brunei.

During the meeting, Amir Abdollahian emphasized the importance of fostering ties with fellow Islamic nations, highlighting the potential for cooperation with Brunei.

Expressing optimism, the Iranian foreign minister looked forward to strengthening bilateral relations encompassing political, economic, and cultural aspects.

Ambassador Rajabi, entrusted with representing Iran in Brunei, outlined the objectives of his mission aimed at reinforcing the Tehran-Bandar Seri Begawan connection.

With extensive diplomatic experience, Rajabi previously held significant roles in the Asia-Pacific region, including serving as the head of the second department for Asia and the Pacific and as deputy of the first department for ASEAN member countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has also served in diplomatic capacities in Indonesia and Malaysia.
