TABRIZ, East Azarbaijan Province An Islamic Consultative Assembly (Majlis) representative from Tabriz, Ali-Asghar Amir-She'rdoust has been elected as head of the Iran-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group, it was announced here on Thursday.
The election of She'rdoust took place while Majlis deputies were electing the presiding boards of the parliamentary friendship groups between Iran and other countries.
She'rdoust has already been serving as the secretary general of the Tehran-Baku Friendship Association.
He is the author of several books on cultural relations between the two neighboring countries of Iran and Azerbaijan which have been published in both Tehran and Baku.
