TEHRAN – A top military commander from Iran has highlighted the unyielding resistance of Palestinians against global arrogance, saying the impoverished people of Gaza are resolutely standing against Israel and its Western patrons who are armed to the teeth. 

"The Americans, despite having more than 50 percent of the world's military power, alongside the criminal government of England and the fake and child-killing Zionist regime, have failed to subdue the oppressed Palestinian people,” The Head of Basij Volunteer Forces Brigadier General Gholamreza Soleimani explained. 

Israel with the help of the U.S. and its other Western allies has been waging a brutal war against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip since October 7. The deadly onslaughts have so far resulted in the deaths of over 26,000 people, most of them civilians. At least 60% of the infrastructure in Gaza has also been reduced to the ground. Despite the vast carnage, however, Israel has not been able to gain any meaningful military success on the battlefield. 

"They are equipped with the most advanced weapons and have access to major media outlets and media giants, as well as important economic resources. The Palestinians, however, have been living under parlous conditions for several decades and do not even have access to food and water,” General Soleimani noted, adding that despite all the hardships, the people of Palestine believe they can finally gain freedom and have never faltered in their fight against colonialism. “Palestinians cannot be defeated,” he said. 

The military commander also explained that not only West Asia, but the entire world is going through a transformation, to the extent that the current world order will be nowhere to be found in the near future. He said countries like Iran will be pivotal in the upcoming world order. “Iran and its allies will become the fundamental axis of global power amid this power shift".
