Army Air Force is self-sufficient, capable: commander
TEHRAN- Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi, commander of the Army Air Force, asserted the organization's readiness to fulfill its duties.
"Through collaboration with domestic industries, we have ensured the provision of all necessary parts and components, eliminating any reliance on foreign sources," General Vahedi declared.
The commander further announced the upcoming convening of a congress on January 21, attended by prominent military figures, families of fallen martyrs, and the Speaker of the Parliament. This event will be held simultaneously at ten Air Force bases.
"In addition, the handwritten message of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei will be unveiled during the congress," General Vahedi added.
Highlighting the Air Force's contributions since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, General Vahedi noted, "Our personnel has always been at the forefront of the defense of our nation, offering countless sacrifices during the Sacred Defense era."
"The Air Force has laid down 1,257 martyrs in service of the Islamic Revolution during the Sacred Defense," he emphasized, attributing the country's current security and peace to the sacrifices of these heroes.
"The Air Force remains unwavering in its commitment to fulfilling the orders of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution," General Vahedi concluded.
