Honduran Romell Quioto joins Iran’s Tractor
TEHRAN - Romell Samir Quioto Robinson, a key player for the Honduras national team, joined Tractor in a surprising move.
The 32-year-old winger, known as “El Romántico”, has previously played for three foreign clubs and decided to join the Iranian top flight club after seven years in the MLS.
Quioto bid farewell to CF Montréal after three successful seasons, breakinglatest.news reported.
Tractor, headed by Spanish coach Paco Jémez, are going to win Iran league for the first time ever.
Tractor are currently sit in fourth place after fifteen rounds. Quioto’s arrival is expected to bolster the team’s performance as they aim to secure a spot in the Asian Champions League.
After passing medical tests in Istanbul, Quioto is set to stay in Turkey for the remainder of the month as the team prepare for upcoming matches. His debut with Tractor SC is scheduled for February, and he has signed a contract until June 2025.
Quioto is the third Honduran player to play in Iran, following Jerry Bengston and Eddie Hernández. With his extensive experience and skill on the field, he is poised to make a significant impact during his tenure with Tractor SC.
