TEHRAN - The Iranian Air Defense Force is intensifying its preparations to ensure the safety and security of the upcoming parliamentary elections, its commander has said in an interview, Fars reported late on Tuesday. 

Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard emphasized the Air Defense Force's commitment to providing 24/7 air defense coverage, reiterating that this is a sacred duty and responsibility incumbent upon all members of the Iranian Armed Forces.

"The deterrence power and equipment of the Islamic Republic of Iran have reached a level that has made our enemies realize that they lack the capacity to challenge our armed forces," General Sabahifard stated, expressing confidence in Iran's military capabilities.

He concluded by declaring that Iran's combat power is continuously growing, further enhancing the nation's security and stability.
