TEHRAN – The chairman of Turkey's Patriotic Party has described Iran’s late anti-terror icon Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani as a military leader whose endeavors benefited Muslims across the world.

“Qassem Soleimani and his comrade Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis are not only the martyrs of the Iranian and Iraqi nations but also the martyrs of the whole Islamic world and all the people of the world in the struggle against imperialism and Zionism,” Dogu Perinçek wrote in a letter to the Turkish president’s assistant. He noted that the Islamic world has many heroes who wouldn’t hesitate to stand against terrorism and imperialism, and General Soleimani was undoubtedly one of them.

“They thought that by assassinating Qassem Soleimani, they could occupy Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran, and Palestine, but they could not achieve their desire,” the politician said, adding that the U.S. and Israel are still working to fulfill this desire.

“Only with armed determination can we prevent aggression in our region. We can only stop the massacre in Gaza and the West Bank by resorting to force,” he stated.

Perinçek explained that General Soleimani’s ultimate goal was to establish an independent Palestinian state, with the occupied al-Quds as its capital. He said it is still possible to reach this objective by staying unified.

“Today, a front has been formed that extends from the Caucasus and the Black Sea to the Mediterranean, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Arabian Sea. We should make use of this opportunity and try to root out imperialism and Zionism once and for all”.

The chairman of the Patriotic Party also stressed that resistance forces are currently in good spirits thanks to the legacy of General Soleimani.

“Today being thankful towards Qassem Soleimani makes you a Palestinian. To be a Palestinian means you should become a hero. We are all Palestinians; we are all Qassem Soleimani."
