‘CDTIC able to complete 200km of freeways next year’

TEHRAN – The deputy head of Iran's Construction and Development of Transportation Infrastructures Company (CDTIC) has said the company is able to construct 200 kilometers of freeways across the country if the necessary funding is provided, IRNA reported.

According to Mahmoud Mollazeynal, CDTIC is going to need 100 trillion rials (about $200 million) to complete the mentioned freeways in the next Iranian calendar year (begins on March 21).

Referring to the projects that will be ready for operation by the end of the current year the official said eight kilometers of the Manjil-Rudbar freeway, which is part of the Qazvin-Rasht freeway project, is ready to be opened by the end of this year.
