Amir Abdollahian hails Ansarullah for resolute pro-Palestine position
TEHRAN- Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Foreign Minister of Iran, praised Ansarullah of Yemen for its resolute support of the oppressed Palestinian people against the aggression and atrocities of the Israeli regime.
Amir Abdollahian said this at a meeting on Monday with Mohammed Abdul-Salam, the spokesman for Ansarullah of Yemen, who is in Tehran for negotiations with high-ranking Iranian officials.
The Iranian foreign minister expressed Iran’s support for the advancement of talks with Saudi Arabia and the development of peace in Yemen in his remarks.
The top Iranian diplomat expressed Tehran’s support for Yemen’s will and demand.
For his part, the top Ansarullah official thanked Iran for its steadfast political backing of the resistance front and briefed the Iranian foreign minister of the most recent advancements in the promotion of peace in Yemen.
Back in September, in an effort to settle the kingdom’s eight-year conflict with its southern neighbor, Ansarullah was represented in discussions with a delegation from Saudi Arabia, which resulted in “positive results”.
In a statement, the ministry supported a political solution to the Yemen conflict, after the Yemeni team, along with an Omani mediator, returned to Sanaa following five days of talks with Saudi officials in Riyadh.
After the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, carried out the cross-border Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the usurping regime in punishment for its increasing atrocities against the Palestinian people, Israel launched the genocidal war on Gaza on October 7.
Despite killing 21,978 Palestinians, predominantly children and women, the Tel Aviv regime has failed to fulfill its aims of “destroying Hamas” and finding Israeli hostages 87 days into the assault. 57,697 persons have been injured as a result of the conflict.
Qalibaf blames U.S. for Israel-Gaza conflict
In a separate meeting with Abdul-Salam on Monday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf chastised the U.S. for Israel’s continued aggression against Gaza.
He went on to add that without the presence of the U.S. and its military assistance, the Israeli regime would not have been able to sustain the first blow dealt to the regime as a consequence of the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation, which was started on October 7 by the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas.
He labeled the U.S. the primary source of issues facing the Muslim world and reiterated Iran’s backing for the resistance front.
For his part, Abdul-Salam expressed the Yemeni people’s unwavering support for the Palestinians in their conflict with the Israeli regime.
He praised Iran’s assistance to the Yemeni people, noting that Yemen’s armaments and all other capabilities are geared toward serving the interests of Muslims.
Yemen is presently capable of assuming an operational posture alongside the resistance front, according to Abdul-Salam, who also stated that his country has a strategy that opposes Israel and the U.S. in the region.
Iran, Ansarallah officials discus regional developments
In another meeting on Monday between with Abdul-Salam and the Iranian foreign minister’s senior advisor for special political affairs Ali Asghar Khaji, they discussed the latest developments on the ground in Yemen as well as the political and humanitarian situation in the country.
The two sides also discussed recent developments in the region, particularly the situation of Gaza, and urged for an immediate halt to the Zionist regime’s atrocities as well as the formation of a swift and inclusive permanent truce there.
Khaji and Abdul-Salam both emphasized the need of finding a political solution to the Yemen issue.
The Iranian diplomat applauded the progress in the peace negotiations and stated that Iran is willing to assist in furthering the process.
On Sunday, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, and Abdul-Salam met and talked about matters of mutual concern.
The topics of shared interest and regional security were discussed by the two parties. Ahmadian praised the Yemeni government and people for their bravery in standing up to the Zionist regime’s savage attacks and aggression against the Palestinian people during such hard times.
The Yemeni military has increased its strikes against Israeli-affiliated ships in the Red Sea and launched missile and drone assaults on Israeli sites during the last several weeks.
They declare that unless the conflict ends and Gazans are provided with the food and medication they require, the attacks will go on.
