TEHRAN – The managing director of Iranian Oil Terminals Company (IOTC) has said 32,000 barrels per day (bpd) of gas condensate are exported from the South Pars Gas Terminal, Shana reported.

“Previously, 30,000 barrels were loaded and exported per day, and the reason for this increase in gas condensate loading is the commissioning of out-of-service equipment, systematic and principled planning for optimal use, and the continuous efforts of South Pars Terminal employees,” Abbas Gharibi said on the sidelines of a visit to the South Pars Gas Terminal on Sunday.

According to the official, previously, the loading of condensate was done using pumps that operated manually, and now those pumps have been replaced with smart and electronic pumps.

Gharibi said all of the equipment used in the mentioned smart pumps has been manufactured by domestic knowledge-based companies.

The official had earlier said the IOTC was taking all the necessary measures to keep the country’s oil terminal infrastructure maintained and up to date.

He emphasized the necessity and significance of maintaining and modernizing the country’s oil infrastructure, including storage tanks, pipelines, and export docks.

“Iranian Oil Terminals Company as a technical, operational, and specialized company in charge of crude oil and gas condensate export operations must have the necessary capabilities to carry out the assigned missions in the best possible way,” the official said.
