Libya’s Deputy PM discusses bilateral cooperation in Tehran
TEHRAN – On December 19, Libya’s Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister, Ramadan Abu Janah, along with his accompanying delegation, held a productive meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian in Tehran.
During the visit, the Libyan Deputy Prime Minister engaged in comprehensive discussions with Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Abdollahian, fostering in-depth negotiations and exchanges of perspectives. The meeting served as a valuable platform for collaborative efforts, enabling the esteemed delegates to address shared challenges and explore potential areas of cooperation between Libya and Iran.
This meeting follows the July visit of Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush to Tehran, where fruitful discussions with her Iranian counterpart took place. Both sides expressed a commitment to expanding cooperation in various fields. Agreements were reached on establishing a joint high commission, forming political consultation committees, strengthening economic relations, fostering scientific and technological cooperation, and organizing specialized exhibitions. During their meeting, Amir Abdollahian affirmed Iran's readiness to enhance relations with the friendly nation of Lybia. He stressed Tehran's willingness to assist Libya in its reconstruction projects, further solidifying the bilateral ties between the two countries.
The diplomatic relations between the two nations have seen positive developments in recent years, opening the two countries to vast possibilities of cooperation.
