SIMCAT sales up 86% in 6 months yr/yr

TEHRAN - Tabriz Wire and Cable Company, known as SIMCAT, has increased total sales by 86 percent in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year that started on March 21, compared with the same period last year.

SIMCAT, which is the only producer of wires and cables in Iran with the capability to manufacture all the needed raw materials, sold 3,596,952 million rials of products in the first six months of the past year, increasing the figure to 6,700,748 million rials in the current year.

The number of foreign and Iranian buyers of the company’s products also rose from 11 and 98, respectively, in the past year to 14 and 110, respectively, in the current year.

The company's production in the cities of Tabriz and Qazvin rose by 20.66 percent, reaching 5534.98 tons compared with 4391.36 tons in the past year.

The production of wires and cables increased by 6.4 percent year on year, while the production of aluminum rod wires and granules rose by 31 percent and 33 percent, respectively.

SIMCAT has an annual capacity for producing 35,000 tons of wires and cables meeting the world’s standards.

The products are used in mining, cement, steel, chemicals, oil, gas, petrochemicals, maritime, water, and electricity, as well as food and agriculture industries.

The company is a subsidiary of Kowsar Saba Holding Company, affiliated with Kowsar Economic Organization - the largest multipurpose holding active in the fields of economy, commerce, trade, production, industry, agriculture, and service), which supplies its products with the brand name “SIMCAT” to the market.
