TEHRAN - Palestinian health officials say Israeli occupation forces have killed at least eight people in the occupied West Bank over the past 24 hours. 

The fatalities include a young child. 

Whilst the regime has given the green light for illegal settlers to attack Palestinians ( a move that has drawn international outrage), it appears that it has not satisfied the Israeli regime.

Its forces have been conducting almost daily raids in the occupied West Bank amid a war on Gaza that has achieved very little harm against Hamas and other resistance factions. 
The Palestinian health ministry said five people were killed when Israeli ground and air forces raided the flashpoint city of Jenin and its adjacent refugee camp. 

Three others have been killed in separate areas of the West Bank since Saturday morning, it added. 

One of those killed in al-Bireh in the central West Bank was a teenager, the ministry said.

The Israeli military said its forces entered the Jenin refugee camp to arrest a Palestinian. 

It confirmed that its forces are operating in the area. 

Before revising the number of fatalities, the Palestinian health ministry said six Palestinians, including a young child, have been shot dead by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank overnight. 

Five people were killed in the city of Jenin, and the sixth was killed in Yatma, a village near Nablus city.

Many others were injured when Israeli forces shot at protesters in Jenin, the ministry added.

The occupation struck a house with an armed drone in the Jenin camp, as well as resorting to live ammunition against Palestinians who had taken to the streets, throwing stones, in protest at an Israeli military raid in Yatma, south of Nablus.

Reports suggest the Israeli drone attack on a residential building in Jenin killed a young man and injured at least three others, some in critical condition. 

Eyewitnesses have also said that an occupation drone bombed a home in the vicinity of Khalil Suleiman Governmental Hospital with at least one missile. 

The occupation forces are said to have prevented ambulances from reaching the site of the terror attack and evacuate the injured. 

Palestinian media has also reported intense activity by the occupation’s drones over the Jenin refugee camp.

Large forces from the Israeli army, accompanied by a military bulldozer, stormed the city of Jenin from several directions. They surrounded the government hospital, the headquarters of the Red Crescent Society, and Ibn Sina Hospital, and deployed their snipers on the roofs of some high-rise buildings. 

The occupation also bulldozed several streets in the neighborhoods of the city and the outskirts of the Jenin camp and raided a number of homes in three other areas while destroying cars belonging to Palestinian residents. 

The director of Jenin Governmental Hospital confirmed that the occupation forces stormed the city of Jenin, surrounded the hospital, and closed all its entrances, demanding those inside, including patients, to leave.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said one young man was shot in the face after the regime's forces stormed a village. He was taken to hospital, and his death was later announced as a result of his injury.

Armed resistance members in Jenin later confronted the Israeli attempts to storm the city. 

A video shows fierce clashes between the resistance in Jenin and the occupation army, forcing it to withdraw. 

The Palestinian resistance in the occupied West Bank said an Israeli armored personnel carrier, part of an Israeli military convoy that had stormed Jenin, was targeted with a high-explosive device.

Casualties were inflicted among the Israeli troops inside the vehicle, the resistance said.

Another child has also been injured by fragments of the occupation ammunition in a village south of Nablus.
The occupation forces shot two young men north of the city of al-Khalil, also known as Hebron, before arresting them. 

According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), between October 7 and November 23 Israeli forces killed 211 Palestinians (including 54 children), in the occupied West Bank, including occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem).

This is while illegal Israeli settlers squatting on Palestinian land have killed an additional eight Palestinians, including a child. 
The number of Palestinians killed at the hands of Israeli forces and settlers has risen - in the space of six weeks - to more than the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli regime forces and settlers since the beginning of this year.

Before October 7 the United Nations had earmarked 2023 as the deadliest year for Palestinians in the West Bank since records began.

The intensity of the raids in the occupied West Bank (since the war on the people of Gaza began) reflects the frustration of Israel in its inability to make any military achievements in its seven-week-old death and destruction campaign. 

Under the shadow of one war and with the world focused on Gaza, the regime is conducting another.
