Egyptian coach Moemen named Iran handball youth coach

TEHRAN – Egyptian coach Sherif Hegazy Moemen has been named new head coach of Iran’s youth handball team.

The 49-year-old coach replaced Majid Rahimizadeh in the team.

The details of the contract have not been released. 

Under leadership of Rahimizadeh, Iran finished runners-up at the 2022 Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship.

Moemen represented Egypt national handball team at the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics.
