Iran attending 5th Sulaymaniyah International Book Fair

TEHRAN-Iran Book and Literature House has attended the 5th Sulaymaniyah International Book Fair in Iraq, which kicked off in the city of Sulaymaniyah in the east of the Kurdistan Region on November 23.

Representing Iran at the event, Iran Book and Literature House has displayed over 800 titles in various fields including science, ancient and contemporary literature, and children and teenagers among others, IRNA reported.

Presenting the latest achievements of the country's publishing industry, and introducing the Tehran International Book Fair, the support projects of the Ministry of Culture and Iranian literary awards are among the programs of Iran's pavilion at this exhibition.

According to Shawki Omar, the deputy director of the fair, the event is taking place at the International Fairgrounds in the Tasluja area, featuring the participation of over 200 printing and publishing houses from more than 20 countries.

In addition to Iran and Iraq, publishers from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Sudan, Oman, Denmark, Iceland, Sudan, etc. are present at the book fair that will continue until December 2.

The fair hosts a collection of over one million books encompassing hundreds of thousands of titles across various fields such as culture, politics, economics, education, social sciences, philosophy, religion, arts, literature, history, geography, as well as stories, novels, music, and other specialized subjects, catering to the interests of diverse readers.
