Iran, Philippines emphasize cooperation on 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties
TEHRAN – Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani has paid a visit to the Philippines where he stressed the importance of Tehran-Manila relations.
The visiting Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran for Political Affairs was received by the Philippines’ Secretary for Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
The two officials held talks in the capital city of Manila, emphasizing the expansion of cooperation between the two Asian countries.
Ali Bagheri Kani, hailed sixty years of “comprehensive interaction and cooperation” between the two nations, saying Iran and the Philippines can take note from their friendly past and enhance relations in the future.
Enrique Manalo, for his part, announced his country’s willingness to expand relations, especially in economic areas.
The two diplomats also addressed relentless Israeli crimes in the besieged Gaza Strip, stressing that countries around the world should look for a solution to pull Gaza out of crisis.
Bagheri visited the Southeast Asian country, leading a high-ranking delegation. The entourage consisting of cultural, political, and economic representatives are set to hold meetings with various Pilipino officials.
