TEHRAN- Iran’s female and male athletes will be welcomed by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, on Wednesday.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution will meet with Asian and Para-Asian Games medalists, heads of federations, officials from the Ministry of Sports and Olympic and Paralympic Committees, coaches from various disciplines, and a number of medal-winning athletes from the past year.

Iran’s sports convoy won 13 gold, 21 silver, and 20 bronze medals during the Asian Games, placing them in ninth position.

Additionally, the Iranian team finished second in the Para-Asian Games after winning 44 gold, 46 silver, and 41 bronze medals.
