Citizens of different countries in Europe, Asia, and the U.S. came to the streets once again protesting the world's silence regarding the killing of Palestinians.

Two different groups of Pro-Palestinian protesters marched through the Center City of Philadelphia on Friday afternoon and evening.

One group, carrying Palestinian flags as well as a large sign that stated, "Occupation Is the Source of Violence, End the Occupation," gathered at 15th and Market streets around 4 p.m. Friday and began marching towards Old City before stopping near 6th and Market streets.

A second group of Pro-Palestinian protesters gathered near 18th Street and JFK Boulevard around 5:30 p.m. Friday and began marching through the streets before gathering at 30th Street Station around 6:30 p.m.

The group tried to enter the station but Philadelphia police were ready and held them back.

Also, thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters flooded the street in front of Penn Station in New York City on Friday (November 17) evening. People waved flags, chanted, and held up signs — many of which called for a ceasefire and criticized the relationship between Israel and the U.S.

Indonesian medics also held a communal prayer event in Jakarta to call for a ceasefire and an end to the "genocide" in Gaza where the Indonesia Hospital, located in the north of the war-torn Palestinian enclave, has been forced to cease operations.

Another rally was held in Jakarta. It included staff from doctors, midwives, pharmacists and dentists' associations. It was organized by the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) which helped fund the construction of the Indonesian Hospital in 2011 .

It is "time to scream to the world, stop genocide", the Indonesian Medical Association and MER-C said in a joint statement.

"Attacks on hospitals and healthcare workers constitute violations of international law," they said in the statement.

"A total of 22 hospitals and 49 health centers were forced to stop operating in the Gaza Strip due to Israeli arrogance," the two groups said, calling on Indonesia's government to "engage in firm diplomacy on the international stage to pressure Israel to cease its aggression in Gaza".

Organizers of the marches that drew hundreds of thousands of people to London's streets also planned smaller actions in villages, towns, and cities rather than holding a national march in the capital on Saturday.

More than 100 pro-Palestine events demanding a ceasefire in Gaza were due to take place across the UK.

A demonstration against Israel was also held in San Francisco on Thursday.

It was just a line of cars that blocked the Bay Bridge between Oakland and San Francisco, halting traffic on the way to a meeting of world leaders that included US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
