Raisi inaugurates numerous projects in visit to Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Province
TEHRAN – President Ebrahim Raisi inaugurated numerous energy and infrastructure projects during a one-day visit to Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province in southwestern Iran, ISNA reported.
During this visit, Raisi put into operation 15 water and electricity supply projects with a total investment of 270 trillion rials (about $530 million).
The president also inaugurated a major dam in the province. The dam, which was under construction for 14 years, was finally completed and put into operation on Thursday.
Some 4,000 National Housing Movement units were also handed over to the owners during this one-day visit.
The National Housing Movement is one of the major policies of the 13th government in the housing sector, and according to this policy, the construction of four million residential units is planned in four years.
It is one of the projects through which the government is trying to help low-income individuals in society become homeowners.
On the sidelines of President Raisi’s visit to the mentioned province, major investment holdings also signed deals worth 630 trillion rials (about $1.24 billion) for investment in various projects in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari.
President Raisi arrived in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province on Tuesday morning and was welcomed by people and senior provincial officials.
The President was accompanied by the ministers of the Interior, Agriculture, Energy, Labor and Social Welfare, Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Health and Education, as well as Industry, Mining and Trade.
