Israel suffered major setback at hands of Palestinian resistance: IRGC
TEHRAN- The second-in-command of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi, said on Sunday that the Israeli regime and its supporters have suffered a “strategic defeat” at the hands of the Palestinian resistance fighters’ precise rockets.
The conflict in Gaza, according to Rear Admiral Fadavi, is between the axis of good and the axis of evil.
He asserted that because the vile Zionists and their supporters are aware that they cannot engage resistance fighters head-on, they are attacking Gaza with bombs and missiles, demolishing non-military structures like hospitals.
The senior IRGC commander denounced the West for its backing of Israel’s atrocities and declared that since the onset of the assault on Gaza on October 7, all the decades-long efforts of those attempting to provide a positive picture of the regime have gone up in smoke.
According to Fadavi, the resistance front is now capable of smashing cutting-edge Israeli and U.S. drones in both Gaza and Yemen.
On Saturday, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi spoke at a joint emergency summit of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, saying the Israeli regime must be brought to justice in international courts for genocide against the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Raisi also said, “This platform is not one for mere speech and announcement of positions, but must be a platform for action to quickly stop the bombings, lift the blockade of Gaza, and open the way to help the oppressed and authoritative people of this region, as well as to achieve the rights of the Palestinians, which was basically the main philosophy of the establishment of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.”
In his speech at the summit, President Raisi reiterated the need for action, saying the high-level meeting was an opportunity to take historic action in defense of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Speaking to media in Tehran early Sunday after returning from Riyadh, Raisi said that the U.S. is the primary source of weaponry that the Israeli regime uses to murder Palestinian women and children, describing it as playing a major role in ensuring the regime’s survival.
“I introduced the United States as the main culprit in these crimes that are being committed by Israel in Gaza,” the Iranian president stated at the conference.
Raisi went on to add, “The most important role that the United States plays is both in helping the Zionist regime survive and in arming and supporting it in its massacre of Palestinian women and children.”
“During this trip, I tried to be the voice of the Iranian nation and those people who shout the right of Palestinians in streets,” the Iranian president stated, highlighting the Islamic Republic’s firm stance on the Palestine issue.
“Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran has had clear-cut views on the right of Palestinian people, while at the same time, considering the Zionist regime as a fake and usurping regime with no identity,” Raisi averred.
