The Yankees’ anxiety over Iran soft power in China

November 11, 2023 - 22:44

TEHRAN- American publication Newsweek has published an article criticizing the Iranian embassy in China for using a social media platform to shed light on the plight of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The Newsweek website titled its article as “A Place in the Heart” to level accusations against freedom-lovers who seek the truth about the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.

With Israeli war crimes exacerbated in the Gaza Strip, nearly all people worldwide got worried about the condition of the oppressed Palestinians.

The Israeli army’s barbaric actions, including genocide and a bunch of other violations, have been alarming.

The Gaza war has expanded from just a confrontation between Hamas fighters and Israeli forces to more dangerous levels where more Palestinians are being martyred.

People worldwide, blaming Tel Aviv’s nonstop attacks on civilians, have taken clear stances toward the regime’s inhumane acts.

Those who sympathize with the people of Gaza and their families have in fact taken the right stance since in a month of war in Gaza, more than 10,000 Palestinians have been martyred and the enclave has been completely blockaded.

Meanwhile, those who take the side of the child-killing regime, are on the wrong track.

In fact, people’s conscience, awakened by media outlets, has persuaded people worldwide to take the right side, which is standing with the oppressed Palestinians.

Reporters, who have been the target of Israeli attacks, have done their best to unveil the disastrous condition of the defenseless Palestinians.

It has been announced that so far 50 journalists have been killed in the Gaza war.

Still, the ongoing war crimes, freedom-seeking demonstrations in every corner of the world, and the Israeli prime minister’s acts of violence have not awakened the American officials who have kept backing Tel Aviv since 1948 and are complicit in Israeli war crimes.

In order to shed light on the ongoing carnage against the Gazans, a TikTok account affiliated with the cultural and media section of the Iranian Embassy in China has taken an initiative to inform the Chinese people about the realities in Gaza.

The initiative has been widely appreciated and people have started following the page in large numbers.

The TikTok account along with the Chinese media and government have highlighted and depicted the Israeli barbarities to the world.

The massacre of women and children, destruction of the infrastructures, and bombardment of residential areas, schools, and hospitals were among the actions that the Chinese media focused on.

Newsweek severely criticized the Iranian embassy in China for its coverage of Israeli barbarities.

Annoyed by the clarifications on the Israeli violations, Newsweek, through a biased approach, called the action by Iran’s embassy “anti-semitism.”

It is crystal clear that what has annoyed Newsweek is not just informing people about the incidents in Gaza because a TikTok account, compared to the propaganda run by Western media outlets, cannot yield too much influence on the public opinion. Yet, the reason behind Newsweek's anger lies somewhere else.

In fact, the mutual trust and understanding of the Palestinians’ allies has set up a front against the Westerners’ domination in the world.

Newsweek and the media outlets covering up the Israeli war crimes have committed several mistakes.

First, they are worried about the increase of followers of the Iranian account on TikTok.

On the other hand, the Chinese people have ignored the Israeli-affiliated pages in the virtual space.

Second, Newsweek has claimed that Chinese media outlets use the Iranian account as a source and launch an anti-U.S. wave.

Newsweek made a mistake since it is not familiar with the Chinese nation and media.

The Iranian and Chinese people enjoy a long-standing historical record and both nations share a common stance toward the incidents in Gaza and American imperialism that is existing in the region.

The Chinese know very well that if America had the opportunity and courage, it would have violated China's territorial integrity dozens of times so far by igniting the Taiwan issue.

The American officials, with their interferences in the Russia-Ukraine issue, caused a devastating war between them.

Regarding the Palestine issue, the Chinese media do not need an Iranian social media account; instead, the two nations have a mutual understanding of the ongoing incidents.

Third, Newsweek, through biased reporting, tried to tarnish the Iranian TikTok account, accusing it of anti-Semitism and supporting Hamas.

The biased reporting will direct more followers to the Iranian account.

Newsweek analysts should be asked why their foreign minister visited Iraq at night and secretly, with a ridiculous posture of wearing a bulletproof jacket.

Everywhere a protest is held against the Israeli policies, the U.S. is also condemned as an accomplice to the Tel Aviv regime.

The protests against the U.S. interferences have increased and the policies of the White House have also been criticized.

Of course, it must be said that Newsweek and other imperialist media and the Zionist owners have the right to feel anxious because of an alliance and coalition that has taken shape between the media outlets of independent countries against the West.

The dragon of the land of sun has awakened, the Russian bear will no longer hibernate, and the Iranian cheetah is more agile than ever. That has unmasked the fake face of lions.

As a quick note to American media outlets, they should stop gambling on Israel's losing horse.
