Iran takes part in 40th International Istanbul Book Fair
TEHRAN-Iran has participated in the 40th International Istanbul Book Fair, which kicked off in TÜYAP Fair Convention & Congress Center on October 28.
Publishing houses from North Macedonia, Germany, China, Romania and Iran are participating in the international hall between October 28 and 31 to share information about the state of the publishing market.
Iran Book and Literature House represents the country’s publishing industry at the fair, presenting over 200 titles in Turkish and 400 books in Persian and English on various subjects, Mehr reported on Sunday.
The event is organized by TÜYAP Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Production Inc. in collaboration with the Turkish Publishers Association. Close to 1,000 publishing houses have attended this year’s edition of the book fair, with India as the guest of honor.
The Istanbul Book Fair has established itself as a cultural and commercial epicenter for literature and publications in Turkey and far beyond. The event brings together both national and international publishers and serves as a vibrant platform for books, magazines, and a multitude of other media.
The fair takes place biennially, a frequency that allows it to present profound and diverse content while simultaneously capturing the latest trends and developments from the constantly evolving world of literature.
The main topics of the fair range from presenting foreign literatures, discussions, and workshops on various literary and journalistic topics to special events like autograph sessions by authors and poetry readings.
The book fair will run until November 5.
