1st draft of next year’s budget bill to be submitted to Majlis in late Oct.
TEHRAN – The first draft of the national budget bill for the next Iranian calendar year 1403 (starts on March 20, 2024) will be submitted to the Majlis (Iranian parliament) in late October, the head of Planning and Budget Organization (PBO) announced.
Making the remarks in the 11th meeting of the headquarters for the preparation and compilation of the budget bill for the year 1403, Davoud Manzour said: “In the 1403 budget bill, the reduction of imbalances in all areas, the reduction of expenses and the identification of new sources of income have been put on the agenda to decrease inflation.”
Pointing out that the bill for the Seventh National Development Plan (2022-2026) is also being considered in the parliament, Manzour said: “The Seventh five-year National Development Plan in expected to be approved by the parliament in early November.”
According to the official, in the process of preparing the budget bill for the next year, the realization of an eight percent economic growth and the reduction of inflation and the strengthening of productivity have been taken into account in line with the policies of the 13th government.
