Ferdows Kaviani, actor of memorable TV series, passes away
TEHRAN – Ferdows Kaviani, actor of nostalgic television series including “The Spouses” and “Friendship Agency”, died at his home in Tehran on Sunday after years of suffering from Parkinson's disease. He was 82.
Kaviani, a veteran actor of both screen and stage, was born in 1941. He rose to fame after his appearance in the popular 1994 TV series "The Spouses," which was co-directed by Bijan Birang and Masud Rasam.
In 1971, he earned a degree in acting and directing from the School of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran.
Since 1961, he had performed in numerous theater productions and gained recognition for his acting skills. He also made appearances in many notable films, including "The City of Tales" directed by Manouchehr Anvar, as well as "Tenants" and "Lady", both by Dariush Mehrjui and “Killing Mad Dogs” by Bahram Beizai.
His last work of art was his role in a play performed in 2014.
