Iran, Belarus to hold 16th Joint Economic Committee meeting next week
TEHRAN - The 16th Iran-Belarus Joint Economic Committee meeting is scheduled to be held in Tehran on October 9-10, the portal of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) reported.
In a meeting between TPO Head Mehdi Zeyghami and Belarusian Ambassador to the Islamic Republic Dmitry Koltsov on Sunday, the two sides discussed the preparations for the holding of the mentioned meeting.
The officials also discussed the upcoming visit of the Iranian first vice president to Belarus, as well as the trip of a Belarusian delegation to Tehran to attend the joint committee meeting.
The establishment and activities of Iran's technology and innovation houses in Belarus, the issuance of tourist visas for Iranians, the export of knowledge-based products, the establishment of the Minsk tractor production line in Iran, and the establishment of direct flights between Iran and Belarus were also among the subjects explored during the meeting.
The 15th Iran-Belarus Joint Economic Committee meeting was held in late July 2022 in Minsk.
The meeting was co-chaired by Iranian Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Reza Fatemi-Amin and Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Parkhomchik Petr Aleksandrovich.
