TEHRAN –A book on Komala Party (a terrorist group active in the Kurdistan region) was unveiled Wednesday during a ceremony at Mehr Hall of Tehran’s Art Bureau. 

Entitled “Seitareh” (Conquest), the book contains the memoirs of Nader Kiani, a member of Iran's intelligence service, who infiltrated the Komala Party, a terrorist group active in the Kurdistan region, for a period of seven years. 

The ceremony was attended by Iran's Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib, the author of the book Kianush Golzar Raghab, the head of the Office of Resistance Literature and Art Morteza Sarhangi, the CEO of Sureh Mehr Publications Ali Akbar Shirvani, and the director of the Art Bureau Mohammad-Mehdi Dadman.

In his speech, Khatib emphasized that the publication of this book aligns with the Jihad of Explanation, aimed at countering the efforts of the enemies.

He further declared the Intelligence Ministry's preparedness to provide historians of the Islamic Revolution with the necessary files and reports that showcase the triumphs of the people, enabling them to be transformed into books, documents, or videos.

Khatib highlighted the role of the Ministry of Intelligence in not only elucidating the achievements of a strong Iran in establishing security but also in documenting these victories. 

He stressed the importance of supporting artists and writers as they serve as the storytellers of these accomplishments, just as the soldiers and commanders are instrumental in confronting the enemies.

He also appealed to those who have been misled by such terrorist groups to come back to the embrace of the nation and Iran, where they can live in peace, security, and confidence.

In his remarks, Golzar Ragheb expressed that writing this book was a personal responsibility for him, aiming to bring attention to the issue and provide valuable insights.

"I was held captive by Komala in a village for a week. My brother, along with many others, was martyred by these very groups, and their bodies are still missing," he recounted.

For his part, Sarhangi praised Golzar Raghab for his unwavering commitment to his promise and for shedding light on these memories, which can contribute to increased transparency and the publication of more books on the subject.

Towards the conclusion of the ceremony, a special tribute was paid to the families of the martyrs who lost their lives at the hands of the Komala terrorist group.

Additionally, an exhibition showcasing a collection of photographs depicting the crimes committed by the Komala group was set up in the courtyard of the bureau.

"Conquest" recounts the seven-year infiltration of Nader Kiani from the Iranian revolutionary forces to the camps of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan and the Komala Terrorist Group in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. 

He rises through the ranks of the organization and becomes a key figure in its leadership. With access to sensitive information within the group, he is eventually imprisoned in the Kurdistan region and, after enduring great suffering, returns to the country, dedicating the fruits of his years of effort and struggle to serving the Islamic Republic of Iran. 

The book was published by Sureh Mehr Publications in April, coinciding with Tehran Book Fair.
