Home appliances sector’s main challenges in this year
TEHRAN- The secretary of the Association of Industries of Household Appliances of Iran mentioned inflation, ordered pricing, and the unnecessary interference of regulatory organizations of any kind, which takes part of the production time, as the most important challenges of the home appliance industry in this Iranian calendar year (began on March 21).
Stating that inflation is the main problem in the country, Abbas Hashemi said: “The government's insistence on pricing is another challenge of this industry. So that despite the explosive increase in the price of raw materials, even domestic ones that are offered in the stock market, it seems that these facts are not seen. This price increase is also true for raw materials that are offered in the stock market, such as steel, petrochemicals, copper, etc.”
Complaining that the government says that producers are not allowed to increase prices in this situation, he clarified: “There is no logic in this situation.”
The secretary of the Association of Industries of Household Appliances of Iran further stated that this situation leads to damage to the production units and final consumers, adding that the production unit cannot sell its product at a loss, unless the government compensates its loss, but if the government does not accept this responsibility and the burden of responsibility lies only with the producer, who has to buy the raw materials expensive and sell the products at the ordered price, it is not possible to work.
