Iranian, Turkish foreign ministers talk over phone
TEHRAN- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu spoke over the phone on Thursday about recent developments in their countries' relations as well as significant regional problems.
Amir Abdollahian emphasized the positive potential for increasing ties, particularly in the fields of economic, commerce, and culture.
He underscored Iran's readiness to assist in settling regional conflicts and restoring peace and stability.
The senior Iranian diplomat also backed the political efforts in Syria, stating that the country can only enjoy long-term security through regional collaboration and coordination.
During the phone call, Cavusoglu also stated that Turkey is delighted with the growing ties with Iran. Strengthening ties between Tehran and Ankara contributes to greater regional security and stability, the Turkish foreign minister emphasized as well.
He praised the talks between the two countries' top officials and praised the expansion of regional cooperation with Iran.
