TEHRAN – During the 36th general assembly of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) which was held on Monday in Cairo, Egypt, representatives of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) suggested the establishment of two working groups in FEAS.

The Iranian delegation attending the assembly was comprised of TSE Board of Directors Chairman Mehdi Amiri, and TSE Managing Director Mahmoud Gudarzi as well as some other TSE board members and officials, IRIB reported.

Based on the Iranian delegation’s proposal, a working group should be formed for assessing the acceptance of knowledge-based companies in FEAS and another one for examining the experiences of countries with regard to their stock exchanges’ profitability.

FEAS is a non-profit international organization comprising the main stock exchanges in Eastern Europe, West, and Central Asia. The purpose of the Federation is to contribute to the cooperation, development, support, and promotion of capital markets in Eurasia, although membership in the federation is open to markets internationally.
