TEHRAN – Sharbanoo Damghaninejhad of Iran won a gold medal at the 26th World Military Taekwondo Championship.

She defeated her Brazilian rival at the -73kg weight category and won the gold medal. 

Damghaninejhad celebrated her gold with Iran’s flag after the match at the Indoor Azadi Hall. 

The 26th World Military Taekwondo Championship started on Nov. 23 in Tehran, capital of Iran, and will run until Nov. 29.
