Judiciary: Investigation on French spies detained in Iran is going on
TEHRAN— The Iranian Judiciary spokesman has said more arrests have been made regarding the French spies in Iran, and the investigation regarding this case is ongoing.
“This case is very important. Its dimensions and angles require more investigation. The investigation is being carried out with precision, speed and accuracy. The subject of the accusations of those arrested in this case is conspiracy, collusion with the intention of disrupting Iran's security, as well as espionage,” Massoud Setayeshi said in his weekly press briefing on Tuesday.
Regarding the latest developments surrounding the two French spies detained in Iran, he added an important “strategic” information has been obtained from the accused and investigation into their case is on the agenda of the judiciary officials.
“The investigation continues with adherence to professional and methodological issues,” Setayeshi noted.
Therefore, the spokesman said, the fact that the enemies coupled with Western and Zionist intelligence services worked hard to realize their “dreams” to undermine the security of the Iranian people is not just a “theory”.
“We have numerous data and information that the sworn enemies of the Islamic Republic are trying to create violence by endangering the security of citizens and mismanaging the emotions of the people through rumors and media operations with pre-planned schemes,” the Judiciary spokesman underlined.
Setayeshi said information regarding the arrest of the French spies is about to be completed soon.
