TEHRAN – Several Iranian private companies have been granted licenses to import automobiles and 90,000 cars are going to be imported by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2023), Deputy Industry, Mining and Trade Minister Manouchehr Manteqi announced on Wednesday.

According to Manteqi, the government has allowed 24 companies and institutions to import automobiles, IRNA reported.

“So far, 380 requests have been submitted by the importing companies to the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade among which 24 firms have been selected,” the official explained.
