Azadi Tower offers free admission on occasion of National Children’s Week
TEHRAN - On the occasion of National Children’s Week, entry is free to Azadi Tower for children and their families.
Borj-e Azadi (Azadi Tower) is offering free admission to children and their families to mark National Children’s Week, which comes to an end on October 14, IRNA reported.
Iran annually observes National Children’s Day on October 8 and National Children’s Week on October 8 to 11, nationwide. Over the one-week celebration, the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (an Iranian institution with a wide range of cultural and artistic activities in the field of mental and cultural development for children and young adults) has coordinated and is running various recreational and educational programs for the children.
Widely known as the most iconic landmark of the Iranian capital, the monument has a very distinct style that merges traditional Persian architecture with modern influences — one can see this quite clearly by its big iwan arch that is covered with 8,000 pieces of white marble.
Visitors climb the tower using the elevator or stairs to get a nice view of the city from the top.
