Iran and Tajikistan enter new phase of cooperation: Raisi
TEHRAN- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has emphasized the cordial and fraternal connections between Iran and Tajikistan and predicted new chapter in their cooperation.
Raisi made the remarks on Friday as he congratulated his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon on his birthday by sending him a message.
In his message, Raisi expressed the hope that the deep cultural, historical, civilizational, and lingual affinities will continue with the continuation of joint meetings, opening up new chapters in cooperation that will serve to protect shared interests and increase regional stability.
The Iranian president wished his Tajik counterpart health, success, and the well-being of the country's citizens in the message of congratulations.
On October 5, Rahmon turned 70. Presidents from China, Belarus, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, and other Central Asian nations greeted him on his birthday.
Since 1991, there has been an increase in relationships between Tehran and Dushanbe, and many political analysts think that these ties have their roots in shared cultural, religious, and historical traditions.
Tajikistan’s cultural week was inaugurated by Iranian and Tajik ministers in Tehran this Tuesday.
During the cultural week, certain art organizations arrange performances and an exhibition not only in Tehran but also in Shiraz and Tabriz.
