Good preparation for Iran football team
TEHRAN – Iran national football team took full advantage of their training camp in Austria.
Team Melli defeated Uruguay 1-0 and shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Senegal in the camp.
Carlos Queiroz replaced Dragan Skocic in early September and there was a worry that about Iran football’s future but the Team showed kept their integrity.
Austria’s camp gave Queiroz the opportunity to review the strategies of Team Melli in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where the National Team will have to meet England, the U.S. and Wales.
Queiroz has led Iran in the 2014 and 2018 World Cups but the team have failed to book a place in the knockout stage.
Team Melli will be making their seventh World Cup appearance in Qatar and determined to end qualification drought this time.
Beyond a shadow of a doubt, England and the U.S. will be very different with what they have showed in their recent matches but Iran have also shown they will not be an easy opponent.
Team Melli will also play one more friendly ahead of the World Cup and Queiroz can decide his final lineup for the competition.
